Children Ministries

Sunday School

Sunday School is held weekly at 10:45 am. It is a ministry for children, where they will learn the teachings of our church in a way oriented towards children. Sunday School is open to all children that are at least 3 years old. The activities include singing and lessons. They also sing in front of the congregation during worship services every so often. Starting in middle school, they will start to learn about the Heidelberg Catechism. Each Christian Eve, they put on the Candlelight Service.

Life Plus

Life Plus is a Wednesday night ministry for children in pre-school through the 5th grade. Life Plus meets weekly from September to April from 6:15 pm to 7:45 pm. The children meet in the basement to partipate in many activities. During the time at Life Plus the kids will sing praise songs, make crafts, and much more. Throughout the year there are parties on special occasions, Christmas Program, large wood project, family-oriented videos, guest speakers, and shopping at the birthday shop. That is just a few of the activities. Life Plus at the Christian Reformed Church in Parkersburg is an excellent opportunity for children to come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Young People's

Young People's is a ministry in our church for high school aged students. They meet every Wednesday night at 8:00 pm..

Student Connection

Our church supports the Student Connection in Aplington. It is a joint effort by both Aplington and Parkersburg churches. They meet every Wednesday night during the school year. It is for children middle school age and older.

Vacation Bible School

Every July, several Parkersburg churches join together to host Vacation Bible School. Each year a different church hosts. It is for children pre-school thru 5th grade.
